Safety & Health Officer
- Advising the MEB Management on measures to be taken in the interest of safety & health for the employee & public in the project;
- Coordinate & Plan Safety Inspection of machinery, plant, equipment, process;
- Follow-up on Investigation Control Measures of any incident, accident, near-miss occurrence, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning / disease at Project Site;
- Organizing & implementing project occupational Safety & Health programmed;
- Advisor of the HSE Committee & perform all function as required;
- Coordinate HSE Committee Work place Inspection;
- Tabulate & Analyze statistics incident / accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning / diseases which have occurred in the project;
- Assist Officer from Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) in carrying out his duty under OSHA Act;
- Carry out any other instruction related to Safety & Health by HSES Manager and Management
- Monitor and Enforce Safety Toolbox Briefings program by Subcontractors to further improve & inculcate safe working practices to Construction Teams
- Implement OSH Training & Orientation program (i.e. Section New Employee Safety Induction and Project Site Entry Safety Induction Briefing) on regular basis throughout the construction period.
- Liaise with Consultant & Sub-Contractors’ Safety Representative on OSH matters on regular basis;
- Follow-up on observations & Findings of Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Inspections by Safety Supervisor with Sub-Contractor’s Safety Representative on work areas, and follow-up on the necessary improvement actions to ensure that safe working practices compliance;
- Perform Internal Occupational Safety & Health Audit together with Safety & Health Manager at the Project Site and on the sub-contractors;
- Prepare & Submit of Project Monthly Safety Reports to Safety & Health Manager;
- Follow-up on corrective & preventive action plan on periodic workers’ Welfare and Health Facilities Inspections (accommodations, canteen, toilets, mosquito control management, etc.) by Safety Supervisors;
- Alternative ERT Commander for ERT & Traffic Management team during any emergencies / crisis or for safe in line with the EDTP Emergency Response Plan (ERP) respectively when required;
- Monitor & Enforce compliance of CIDB GREEN CARD Program;
- Implementing Safety Promotion Programs or Safety Campaign as advised by HSES Manager;
- Perform together with HSES Manager Ad-hoc Workplace Safety Walkabout / OSH Inspections & Audits.
- Follow-up on Corrective & Preventive control measures implemented on Incident / Accident Investigations;
- Maintain database & monitoring of Project Safety performance Statistics on Incident, Occupational Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences at the place of work;
- Any other duties (related to OSH) that HSES Managers or the Project Management might assign that from time to time.
